Today is our anniversary.

That's right. Nine years ago today, I finally got Zenophran to ask me out on a date :) It's very hard to believe it has been that long!

So what did we do for this remarkable occasion? We took each other shopping with the kid in tow. And I actually got him into a jewelers. A real one even. It's a major first. Usually he walks straight past and into the computer game shop.

Which means that there wasn't a single thing I liked.

I ended up finding 2 nice pairs of earrings in a new age-y type shop in the city. One is silver with garnets. The other is turqouise drops.

When do you start your holiday shopping?

Well, I've picked up one or two odd gifts during the year. Usually at a sale or when inpiration strikes.
The problem with my family is that if they want something in particular, they just go out and buy it. Even if it's only a month until Christmas.

I think I'll just end up shopping on Christmas Eve.. as usual.

At lunch every day, Janet_Mayfire, Taldals and I go to the local mall to eat and shop. We were doing just that today when we noticed bright colours reflecting from a nearby shop.

A specialist make-up shop!

OK, so this is kind of a big deal. The only make-up stands in this mall are at the department stores, and even then they only deliver the latest fashion colours.

This one had purple and green and blue and SPARKLES!!

I bought a lipstick, that matches a shirt I bought yesterday.

I think we'll be going back before the Christmas Party to get a make-over :)
