This is like a normal game of tag, except each person who gets tagged by 'It' is also 'It'. This continues until everyone is 'It'. The winner is then'it' for the new game. Now that daylight savings has started, we played this outdoors. (Joeys 5 Skinned Knees 2)

ACTIVITY   Create-your-own Woodcraft

Items needed - offcuts of wood, hammers, nails

Started with a safety talk and a demonstration on how not to get your thumb in the way of the hammer. (Joeys 4Hammer 3) Then basically gave them free rein on the bits of wood. The kids were really creative with creations ranging from murals to racing cars.

ACTIVITY   Remembrance Day

The other leader (Wallaby) has service medals that belonged to her grandfather and father. She brought them to the meeting and showed the kids. She told them stories about what the medals were for and what the people had done.

GAME      Bucket ball

Pile up a couple of icecream containers in the middle of the circle. 2 joeys guard this. The other throw a ball and ty to knock the containers down.

PARADE    Flag, HOP
